School feeding programs for children

Nourishing future leaders and change agents

Millions of children worldwide attend school daily on empty stomachs. According to a 2012 World Food Programme (WFP) report, over 21 million primary-school-going children in Africa, face hunger at school. Childhood hunger significantly impacts physical and mental well-being, hindering learning and social interaction.

School feeding programs play a crucial role in increasing enrollment, attendance, and health while promoting educational achievement.

At Java Foundation, we’re dedicated to nourishing future leaders through initiatives like our school feeding program in Kenya, currently serving 2,500 children daily. With over 476,264 meals provided and plans for expansion across East Africa, we’re committed to fostering positive change one meal at a time.
